An interactive tool showcasing multiple views of a vehicle accident. An SUV crosses the line side swiping into a flatbed truck. The truck loses control and veers into oncoming traffic colliding head-on with a station wagon. The station wagon crashes into a wooden fence, causing property damage.
The animation of each vehicle is simulated using pre-existing HVE data to correctly depict the suspension, weight, and speed of each vehicle. The interactive tool can rewind and play the entire animation of the crash while focusing on each individual vehicle. The perspective of the drivers of each vehicle can also be shown.
An additional perspective has been added to show a witness' viewpoint of the accident. A tree has been added to the left of the witness, showing a possible obstacle to block the witness' view of the accident. This demonstrates an example of possible failure in witness testimony, showing an obstructed view of the entire accident leaving out key details that would be revealed by additional perspectives.
